The funny thing about this game was that I did not want
to play it when it came out because all I liked to play
was Tank and Infantry games!
A number of my friends were raving about the game so I
played it and what a surprise I got, I was to find out

version of Warlords, I little dreamed that just a few
years down the track we would be releasing the third
installment in a successful series.

III Reign of Heroes LOOKS GREAT!
The
game now supports multiple resolutions up to 1024 x 768. All
84 unit types are fully animated with full multi-player
support.
The screen has changed from the flat view used in Warlords and
Warlords II to an isometric view.
Terrain has been modeled from aerial photos of real landscapes
and the game provides a unique level of terrain detail in each
map.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DIPLOMACY SYSTEMS
Warlords
III improves upon the AI, movement, and diplomacy systems that
SSG games are famous for.
Computer players now react to your actions based on their
relations with each other player. Attack a computer player's
enemy, and you will be well regarded.
Attack an ally, and you will be marked down.
New game
mechanics play to the strengths of the computer AI. In
Warlords II, most players used techniques against the computer
that they never would have dared use against a human opponent.
Be warned, we have paid special attention to preventing these
techniques. In, addition, each stack evaluates its situation
each turn and modifies its behavior accordingly.
Even at the toughest setting, warlord, computer players are
given no unfair advantage over human players like faster
building, more resources, or stronger units.
They have been given a mission to prosecute all wars
aggressively, and they will remember injuries done to them.
